During the early 1980s, Brian Chan worked as an electrical inspector for the Boeing Company. However, he found the work unfulfilling which inspired him to start his journey as an entrepreneur. He began with a small retail store within a bus terminal in downtown Toronto. The store shelves quickly filled with imported ornaments, small toys, and various decor, and just as quickly they were sold.

With this great success, Chan expanded his vision and founded C.J. Marketing in 1985. Its mission was to provide quality decorative furniture and home decor to Canadian retail establishments at a competitive wholesale price. C.J. Marketing continues to capture new trends and ideas in home furnishing, establishing ourselves to compete as a leader in the industry.
